About
1398. Sikander Shah watches as enemy soldiers raze his city-nation to the ground. As blood and fire fill the air, he must make the most important decision of his life—surrender or fight to the death. But what is it that he would surrender?
The Ghost King is a fictional account that draws on legend to explore the concept of identity and nationhood with reference to Singapore’s historical origins, while speaking to our multiculturalism and self-determination.
As part of Singapore’s bicentennial celebrations, the Singapore Bicentennial Office commissioned a set of 22 e-books whose content revolved around various topics and key periods in Singapore’s history.
Working closely with the numerous authors and storytellers, Pagesetters proposed the treatment, concept and content for each e-book. Once the content was confirmed, illustrators and designers joined each e-book team to push the project to its fruitful completion.
The 22 e-books were released as free downloadable e-books on the Singapore Bicentennial webpage.
