Written between 2017 and 2021, Double Exposure focuses on the duality of things: the normal façade contrapuntally considered alongside the meaning derived from personal histories and mythologies. This collection of poetry by John Fu started initially as ekphrastic exercises for creative writing classes, and soon became something of a coping mechanism through milestones such as migration, National Service, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Spanning London, New York and Singapore, Double Exposure explores the overlapping of worlds through change, upheaval and growth, and reveals the honest, astute, and even bizarre reflections that develop along the way.
